Improving Sales and Marketing

This qualification is designed to help you promote your business and improve your sales and profitability by looking at how well you are marketing your organisation and then converting interest into sales.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course delegates will:

  • Understand the needs and expectations of their clients
  • Improve their understanding of the Unique Selling Points and Features and Benefits of their product or service
  • Be aware of the “sales and marketing process”, their role in it and how to improve the return on marketing investment and effort
  • Appreciate how they can manage their customer base in clear customer types and develop plans to do this
  • Recognise how they can convert interest into sales

Course Outline

The course will cover the following areas:

  • Introduction and opening session
  • Why do people buy things – USP, Features and Benefits; understanding the motivation to buy
  • Creating clear Marketing Plans
  • Projecting the Right Image
  • AIDA – getting attention and calling to action
  • Adapting to different types of buyers
  • Converting interest into sales
  • Communicating positively with customers
  • Closing the deal
