Cannock Chase Chamber president awards Gill Durkin of PTP

Two stalwarts of the Cannock Chase Chamber of Commerce have been recognised by president David Mitchell for their unwavering commitment and support.

Gill Durkin, a director with training provider Performance Through People and past Cannock Chase Chamber president, and Chris Wheeler from cost, procurement and carbon solutions experts Auditel, shared the President’s Award which was presented at the Royal Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield & Tamworth and Cannock Chase Chambers awards.

David told attendees at the Belfry Hotel & Resort that he has received unwavering support from the duo through some challenging personal circumstances.

David said: “I mentioned within my overall speech the personal circumstances which had affected how I was able to sustain my duties as president.

“I have received great support professionally and personally from two people who themselves have been on the Cannock Chase Chamber committee and remain on the committee while managing their own professional responsibilities in their businesses. Gill has also suffered significant loss personally.

“Both without hesitation supported Cannock Chase Chamber, our members, the committee and myself as president over the last year.”
