Brief Overview of the Role We now have a vacancy for a Trainee Estimator/Contracts Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will support our estimating department in preparing tenders for clients; taking material quantities off drawings, data inputting into our estimating software and producing written quotations to issue to clients. Duties to Include
  • Supporting Estimating & Contracts Departments.
  • Preparation of Tenders/Quotations – checking specifications, drawing take offs, data entry into estimating software, producing written quotations.
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding quotations Interact with production, sales, design team and customers to resolve issues.
  • Assist the Contracting department in a general administration role; ordering materials/plant, organising site deliveries, producing site manuals/information packs etc.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, attention to detail required.
  • Ensure all related paperwork is accurate, maintain accurate data information on systems.
  • To co-operate with supervisors and management at all times.
  • Effective communication and written skills. Good mathematic skills are essential.
  • Professionally manage communications with external parties and clients.
  • Support daily office tasks including dealing with clients and answering the telephone calls.
  • Work as part of a team, to seek clarification, use own initiative Knowledge and Experience of Microsoft Office Packages.

  • Tig weld stainless steel box section between 0.9mm - 2mm to form products ie stands, tables, sinks and frames that are mainly for the hospitality industry. This may include the welding of sheet metal components from 0.9mm - 2mm.
  • Use of various hand and air tools.
  • Ability to read and work from detailed fabrication drawings.

  • Use air hand tools to smooth and clean welds on products for finished end results.

Brief Overview of the Role We are looking for an Apprentice to learn general engineering skills in order to become a qualified Maintenance Engineer. This person must have attention to detail, will be an enthusiastic and committed individual who is passionate about starting a career in Engineering. Duties to Include
  • Carry out preventative maintenance to ensure machines are in safe working condition for production
  • Contribute to preventative maintenance development and maintenance schedules
  • Respond to breakdowns in a timely manner and identify route cause(s) of the breakdown and implement the corrective solution where possible. If this is not possible, the matter needs to be escalated as a priority.
  • All machines must be left in a safe condition and if the maintenance work is not completed, the machine and immediate area must be cordoned off accordingly and left in a safe manner
  • Safe systems of work must be always used to prevent injury and damage to plant, machinery and equipment
  • Responsible for maintaining the shift log and to pass unfinished work over the next shift following the correct shift handover process
  • Respond effectively to any environmental incidents and be part of emergency response team to the plant, machinery and equipment safe
  • Maintain the relevant maintenance stores inventory Ensure 5S standards are maintained including keeping own work area tidy and free from clutter
  • Log work completed on the maintenance system cards
  • Completed preventative maintenance results sheets and action any remedial work required
