Former Paramedic Boosts PTP’S First Aid Training
Hundreds of workers a year across the West Midlands are qualifying as first aiders after attending courses provided by top training group Performance Through People.
PTP, part of the BCTG Group, has been delivering first aid course for more than 40 years but has now increased it's output by working in partnership with Pulse EMT (Emergency Medical Training).
Pulse EMT, based in Cannock, is run by Duncan Parsonage, a former paramedic who has worked for both Staffordshire Ambulance and West Midlands Ambulance Service for more than 25 years.
Gill Durkin, a business executive at PTP, said: "There has been a recent surge in the uptake of First Aid training at PTP, a demand we are meeting thanks to our relationship with Duncan Parsonage and his Pulse EMT colleagues.
"Working closely with Pulse EMT, we are now delivering monthly first aid at work and emergency first aid courses at PTP's training centres in Walsall and Cannock, as well as on clients' premises.
"Group sizes are up to 12 delegates per group, and by running an average of two sessions every month we are training in excess of 250 workers a year in crucial first aid skills."
Ms Durkin explained that PTP's first aid courses were highly practical, providing delegates with life-saving skills, promoting greater awareness of specific conditions and injuries, and teaching first aider duties.
First aid courses at PTP run throughout the year. Anyone wanting to find out more can call 01543 460050 or email sales@ptp-training.co.uk.
