Brief Overview of the Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Office Dispatch Administration apprentice to work for Howard Butler Ltd, based in Walsall. Working within a busy office environment, training will cover all aspects of administration in line with the company’s standard operating procedures.

Duties to Include

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an apprentice to work for Howard Butler, based in Walsall. Working within a busy office environment, training will cover all aspects of administration in line with the company’s standard operating procedures.

The apprentice will play an important team role in the day-to-day planning, organisation and smooth running of the department.

Duties to include the following but not limited to:

  • Dispatching of UK Sales Order and Invoicing
  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing telephone calls
  • Maintenance of filing system
  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing post
  • Maintaining database
  • Responding to email

The training you will be getting

  • The successful applicant will work towards Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 qualification, and functional skills in math and English if appropriate
  • They will have training and shadow staff to learn the job role and understand the administrative tasks required across a range of areas within the business including the main office, sales and dispatch

Administrative skills, Attention to detail, Communication skills, Initiative, IT skills, Logical, Team working

Desired Qualifications

  • GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4) desirable
  • GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4) desirable

Working Hours and Wage

Monday – Thursday, 8.30am – 5.00pm and Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm

Total hours per week: 37.5 hours a week

Future Prospects

  • At the end of the training, the most successful candidate, may be offer a position within the organisation
