Brief Overview of the Role

A great opportunity has come up for the successful candidate to join our friendly team at Princes End Dental Practice. As a apprentice dental nurse, you will assist the dentist and undergo full training to develop skills to enable you to progress with a view for a full-time vacancy once qualified.

Duties to Include

·         Assisting the dentist chairside

·         Updating client records

·         Cleaning and decontamination of tools and surgery

·         Reception duties

·         General admin duties

The training you will be getting

• Dental Nurse Level 3 Diploma apprenticeship standard
• Functional Skills in Maths and English if required

Desired skills and personal qualities

Communication skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Logical, Team working, Initiative, Non judgemental, Patience

Desired Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4 and above) desirable
• GCSE or equivalent Math’s (Grade 4 and above) desirable

Working Hours and Wage

Monday to Thursday – Hours to be confirmed.

Total hours per week: 28 hours a week

Future Prospects

Possibility to secure long term employment.

A good route into dental hygiene, dental therapy or dental cosmetics with further training.

Once qualified offers excellent career progression into possibly moving into a team leader, manager or dental practice manager position.
