Brief Overview of the Role

Established in 1982, ASH are currently looking for a Lean Manufacturing Operative Apprentice to join their Plastic Fabrication team. Duties will include carrying out manufacturing tasks, training to use a variety of materials and chemicals, assessing quality, and more.

Duties to Include

  • Gain knowledge of a variety of plastic materials, including Acrylic, Polycarbonate, PETG and HIPS
  • Undertake training which will include solvent gluing, UV Gluing, heat bending, drilling, diamond polishing and assembly
  • Training will include reading technical drawings
  • General housekeeping and maintaining of Health and Safety
  • Any other duties associated with the job role

The training you will be getting

  • Lean Manufacturing Operative Level 2
  • Level 2 Functional skills if needed

Attention to detail, Communication skills, Initiative, Organisation skills

Desired Qualifications

  • GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4) desirable
  • GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4) desirable

Working Hours and Wage

Monday – Thursday, 08.00 – 17.00, Friday, 08.00 – 13.30.

Total hours per week: 39.5 hours a week

Future Prospects

  • There will be a full-time position available for the right candidate on completion
