    Brief Overview of the Role We are seeking an innovative and hardworking individual to work within Early Years. This will include support in mainstream classrooms, working with small groups of children and providing care over the lunchtime period. Duties to Include
    • Supporting pupils in the classroom to support and move their learning on.
    • Provide structured support in accordance with specific work programmes.
    • To contribute to raising standards by ensuring high expectations are promoted for pupils.
    • Supporting the pupils by providing pastoral support within the school environment.
    • Assist children in matters of personal needs and their general health including first aid and welfare matters.
    • Provide general support to pupils ensuring their safety.
    • Accompanying teaching staff and pupils on visits and trips out of school.
    • Support the teacher in the development and implementation of individual education/behaviour plans.
    • Assist the teacher with the planning of learning activities.
    • Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers and pupils achievement, progress, and problems.
    • Supporting the curriculum.
    • Supporting the school by promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children you are responsible for.
    • Ensuring all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
    From time to time, you may be required to perform other duties as requested by your Line Manager, and whilst not listed above, these duties will be appropriate to the level of responsibility held and to the scope of the role as defined. The training you will be getting

    Essential Requirements
    A clear DBS check will be essential within this role. Candidates will be required to attend day release at either Cannock or Tamworth Campus. Applicants must be aware that they will be required to attend an Information Advice and Guidance session at one of our Campuses (Tamworth, Lichfield, Cannock Chase Skills and Innovation Centre, or Rodbaston) in order to progress further in this vacancy. During the session, candidates must complete baseline assessments and will have the opportunity to ask questions regarding the qualification. For the interview, please bring a reading book suitable for KS2 pupils as you will be expected to read to a group of KS2 children. This will be followed by an informal chat.
