Brief Overview of the Role

A great opportunity has come up for the successful candidate to join our friendly team at Marcegaglia. As a Mair Packer Apprentice, you will undergo full training to develop skills to enable you to progress with a view for a full-time vacancy once qualified.

Duties to Include

• Steel Banding with nematic banding gun.
• Quality asses all finished product.
• Operate crane to manoeuvre bundles of tube.
• Slinging operation.
• Booking bundles of tube out within internal Techmes computer system.
• Check tally sheets to ensure they are correct.
• Check size and gage of finished product with micrometre.
• Mechanically set Alpha cut (changing of cutting blades for the saw)
• Assist the maintenance teams by communicating any breakdowns.
• Support contractor control onsite.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with a mature attitude to work, with good communication, attention to detail, and organised. Candidates will need to be hardworking and willing to go the extra mile for the business.

Desired Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4)
• GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4)

Working Hours

Monday-Friday 08:00-17:00 with 1 hour lunch.
