We are looking for an Apprentice to learn general engineering skills in order to become a qualified Engineering Operative. This person must have a good attention to detail, will be an enthusiastic and committed individual who is passionate about starting a career in Engineering.

Working week

Monday – Friday 8.00am – 5.00pm

Total hours per week: 40.00

What will the apprentice be doing?

Duties will include:

  • Servicing and maintaining machinery and equipment
  • Analyse the use & reliability of the machinery
  • Assist with the relocation of machinery
  • Assist with weekly checks
  • Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance
  • Responding to breakdowns
  • Diagnosing faults
  • Repairing equipment
  • Obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
  • Creating maintenance procedures
  • Managing stocks of supplies and equipment

GCSE or equivalent English (Grade c/4) Desired
