Dental Nurse Apprenticeship
Excellent opportunity working for an established dental practice based in Wolverhampton. You will work in a busy practice dealing with all aspects of oral health and hygiene.
Duties to include
You will be learning a range of practical Engineering skills which will entail:
- Assisting the dentist at chair-side
- Reception duties
- Decontamination duties
- Taking telephone calls
- Booking appointments
- Offering assistance to clients
- Clinical and general cleaning within the practice
Working week
Monday – Friday 8.20am – 5.00pm
Total hours per week: 40.00
Desired skills
- Candidates need to have excellent IT skills, good communication skills and a good telephone manner, as duties will include reception desk
- They must also have confidence and professionalism when dealing with customers
- Flexibility and punctuality are essential for this post
- Experience would be an advantage but is not essential
Personal qualities
- Candidates must have attitude to work, with a presentable appearance. The candidate must also be outgoing with an ambition to do well in dental nursing
- Experience would be an advantage but is not essential
- If you drive and live in the local area it is desirable
Desired qualifications
Grades 4-9 / A*-C in Maths and English or equivalent qualifications.

Things to consider
Successful candidates will be expected to be willing to keep up-to-date inoculations such as Hepatitis B, Tuberculosis and normal childhood vaccinations.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
