Brief Overview of the Role

A great opportunity has come up for the successful candidate to join our friendly team at Butt Lane Dental Surgery. As a dental nurse, you will assist the dentist and undergo full training to develop skills to enable you to progress to be a fully qualified dental nurse.

Duties to Include

• Assisting the dentist’s chairside
• Updating client records
• Cleaning and decontamination of tools and surgery
• Reception duties
• General admin duties

From time to time, you may be required to perform other duties as requested by your Line Manager, and whilst not listed above, these duties will be appropriate to the level of responsibility held and to the scope of the role as defined.

The training you will be getting

• Dental Nurse (integrated) Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
• Functional Skills maths and English (if required)

A level 3 qualification has been approved by the General Dental Council as meeting the requirements for entry to the professional register as a dental nurse.

• GCSE English (Grade 4) desirable

Essential Requirements

You will need to travel to the Walsall center once a week for training. Hepatitis B vaccination required.
