Brief Overview of the Role Caterlink UK Ltd is seeking to recruit a motivated individual to join the team as a Welder Level 2 Apprentice. The apprentice will play a key role in supporting the company’s growth and success. Duties to Include
  • Tig weld stainless steel box section between 0.9mm - 2mm to form products ie stands, tables, sinks and frames that are mainly for the hospitality industry. This may include the welding of sheet metal components from 0.9mm - 2mm.
  • Use of various hand and air tools.
  • Ability to read and work from detailed fabrication drawings.
  • Capable of working to demanding deadlines.
  • Use air hand tools to smooth and clean welds on products for finished end results.
  • Take pride in their work and ability to work as a team along with own initiative.
  • Maintain a clean working area and follow Health and Safety policy and procedures.
From time to time, you may be required to perform other duties as requested by your Line Manager, and whilst not listed above, these duties will be appropriate to the level of responsibility held and to the scope of the role as defined. The training you will be getting
  • Welder Level 2 training takes place in the PTP Walsall Training Centre. Essex Terrace, In-Town, Walsall, West Midlands, WS1 1SQ

Essential Requirements Start time is 7.30am – is public transport available? Can you arrive on time? Ability to complete all physical requirements of the vacancy. A willing to learn fabrication and sheet metal work would be advantageous. Brief Overview of the Role We are looking for an Apprentice to learn general engineering skills in order to become a qualified Maintenance Engineer. This person must have attention to detail, will be an enthusiastic and committed individual who is passionate about starting a career in Engineering. Duties to Include
  • Carry out preventative maintenance to ensure machines are in safe working condition for production
  • Contribute to preventative maintenance development and maintenance schedules
  • Respond to breakdowns in a timely manner and identify route cause(s) of the breakdown and implement the corrective solution where possible. If this is not possible, the matter needs to be escalated as a priority.
  • All machines must be left in a safe condition and if the maintenance work is not completed, the machine and immediate area must be cordoned off accordingly and left in a safe manner
  • Safe systems of work must be always used to prevent injury and damage to plant, machinery and equipment

  • Answering Telephone
  • Greeting customers
  • Order Processing
  • Delivery notes and job bag filing
  • Competent use of the company software
  • Purchase order number uploading.
The training you will be getting Customer Service Practitioner Level 2. Desired skills and personal qualities Communication skills, IT skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Problem solving skills, Administrative skills, Team working, Non judgemental, Patience Desired Qualifications
  • GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4 and above) desirable
  • GCSE or equivalent Math's (Grade 4 and above) desirable
