Skills Support for the Workforce helps company to improve efficiency

Four employees from Turfmech Machinery in Hixon have recently completed Business Improvement Techniques training covering 5S processes. This training was delivered as part of Skills Support for the Workforce.

The group are now moving forward to undertake a 5S process in departments across the company, beginning with the welding and experimental departments. Using the skills they have gained through this course the process will improve efficiency within the business.

SSW is co-funded by the Education and Skills Funding Agency and the European Social Fund. Performance Through People deliver SSW on behalf of Serco.
