IOSH Working Safely

The IOSH Working Safely qualification is perfect for new employees coming into your organisation, or any level employee who requires some formal health and safety training. The course delivers some basic knowledge which can drive home the importance of their own responsibilities when it comes to accidents at work. It shows that accidents can happen to everyone and that personal responsibility is an important factor.

Course Objectives

All candidates will learn about hazards and risks. The course shows what can happen and what the consequences may be when not working safely. Candidates will learn how risk assessments help to reduce risks and why it is important to follow safety measures put in place as a result.

Course Outline

The course will include identifying common hazards, learning about the safe systems, permits, contract work, health checks, equipment, signs and any emergency procedures.

The IOSH Working Safely qualification is gained by sitting an exam at the end of the training session. The exam lasts for just 20 minutes and consists of ten questions and a hazard spotting exercise. If the candidates successfully pass the exam they will be awarded a certificate to show they have received and understood training in occupational health and safety. Candidates are then able to apply for the examination for a CSCS card – please let us know if you would like this to be arranged for as part of your training.

Course Progression

We offer a full range of further health and safety courses.
