Outdoor activities give BBO Evolve clients a boost

Six learners from the BBO Evolve project took part in segway riding and team building activities at Go Ape activity centre last week. The activities were aimed at developing workplace skills, including problem solving, teamwork and trust and confidence building.

The group all attend our Cannock training centre where they are taking part in lessons to improve employability skills, including CV writing, interview techniques and a range of qualifications.

The group’s tutor commented: “In the modern workplace, people need a wide variety of skills, which can’t always be developed through traditional classrooms and courses. Bringing this group out to this type of environment helps them to learn skills in a relaxed and fun environment.”

The trip was organised as part of the BBO Evolve Project, funded by the Big Lottery Fund and the European Union through the European Social Fund. The project is being delivered locally by PTP and Steps to Work.
