Brief Overview of the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an apprentice to work for Travel Club Elite LTD. Working within a busy office environment, training will cover all aspects of providing travel related services and holiday packages to customers.
Duties to Include
Arranging Tours & Holidays:
- You’ll be responsible for organising holidays, tours and cruises. This involves planning itineraries, booking flights, accommodation and other travel-related services.
- You’ll work closely with clients to understand their preferences, needs, and budget constraints.
- Travel agents act as salespeople for the resorts, travel groups, cruise lines, and other travel providers. Your job is to promote various tour packages and holiday options.
- Effective communication and persuasion skills are essential here – you want to make those dream holidays irresistible!
- Keeping accurate records is crucial. You’ll update databases with clients’ personal details, invoices / confirmations and travel preferences.
- Attention to detail matters because nobody wants to end up in the wrong hotel room!
- You’ll handle invoicing for due payments, ensuring that clients settle their bills promptly.
- Taking payments and managing financial transactions is a very important part of the job.
- Sometimes, issues arise. You’ll liaise with colleagues, management and the customer to resolve and address issues, and keep clients happy.
- Think of yourself as a travel troubleshooter!
- Offering and processing all of the holiday extras that are finishing touches for a perfect trip, overnight airport hotels, airport parking, private lounges, Fast track security, etc.
- Maintain strong client relationships for future business.
- Proactively contact previous clients for repeat business
- Attend industry – related events outside standard office hours, for training to improve product knowledge.
