Brief Overview of the Role
Caterlink UK Ltd is seeking to recruit a motivated individual to join the team as a Welder Level 2 Apprentice. The apprentice will play a key role in supporting the company’s growth and success.
Duties to Include
- Tig weld stainless steel box section between 0.9mm - 2mm to form products ie stands, tables, sinks and frames that are mainly for the hospitality industry. This may include the welding of sheet metal components from 0.9mm - 2mm.
- Use of various hand and air tools.
- Ability to read and work from detailed fabrication drawings.
- Capable of working to demanding deadlines.
- Use air hand tools to smooth and clean welds on products for finished end results.
- Take pride in their work and ability to work as a team along with own initiative.
- Maintain a clean working area and follow Health and Safety policy and procedures.
- Welder Level 2 training takes place in the PTP Walsall Training Centre. Essex Terrace, In-Town, Walsall, West Midlands, WS1 1SQ

Brief Overview of the Role
We are looking for an Apprentice to learn general engineering skills in order to become a qualified Maintenance Engineer. This person must have attention to detail, will be an enthusiastic and committed individual who is passionate about starting a career in Engineering.
Duties to Include

To complement these skills, we advise customers on material choices, the use of technical polymers and recyclable materials. - Carry out preventative maintenance to ensure machines are in safe working condition for production
- Contribute to preventative maintenance development and maintenance schedules
- Respond to breakdowns in a timely manner and identify route cause(s) of the breakdown and implement the corrective solution where possible. If this is not possible, the matter needs to be escalated as a priority.
- All machines must be left in a safe condition and if the maintenance work is not completed, the machine and immediate area must be cordoned off accordingly and left in a safe manner
- Safe systems of work must be always used to prevent injury and damage to plant, machinery and equipment
- Responsible for maintaining the shift log and to pass unfinished work over the next shift following the correct shift handover process
- Respond effectively to any environmental incidents and be part of emergency response team to the plant, machinery and equipment safe
- Maintain the relevant maintenance stores inventory Ensure 5S standards are maintained including keeping own work area tidy and free from clutter
- Log work completed on the maintenance system cards
- Completed preventative maintenance results sheets and action any remedial work required
- Assembling and testing fluid power systems

Brief Overview of the Role
A great opportunity has come up for the successful candidate to join our friendly team at Marcegaglia. As a Mair Packer Apprentice, you will undergo full training to develop skills to enable you to progress with a view for a full-time vacancy once qualified.
Duties to Include
- Steel Banding with nematic banding gun.
- Quality asses all finished product.
- Operate crane to manoeuvre bundles of tube.
- Slinging operation.
- Booking bundles of tube out within internal Techmes computer system.
- Check tally sheets to ensure they are correct.
- Check size and gage of finished product with micrometre.
- Mechanically set Alpha cut (changing of cutting blades for the saw)
- Assist the maintenance teams by communicating any breakdowns.
- Support contractor control onsite.
