Brief Overview of the Role We are looking for warm, positive and enthusiastic individuals to provide person centered support to people with learning disabilities. You will work to make a difference and promote independence whilst enabling people to enjoy a fulfilling and valued life. Duties to Include
  • Giving non-discriminatory care
  • Record and report all relevant information
  • Working with therapists and doctors to ensure consistency of support
  • Supporting and monitoring healthcare and needs
  • Teaching life skills and supporting new hobbies and interests
  • Helping with personal hygiene e.g. toileting
  • Support with eating and drinking
  • Helping clients to access community facilities
  • Cleaning and cooking will be required on a rota basis
  • Planning and delivering activities to service users

Brief Overview of the Role To share with other staff in meeting the personal care needs of service users in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence and help in the general day-to-day activities of the home. Care provided by care assistants is expected to include care that would reasonably be given by members of the service user's family. Duties to Include
  • To assist service users who need help with getting up in the morning, dressing, undressing, washing, bathing and the toilet
  • To help service users with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including incontinence; help in use and care of aids and personal equipment
  • To care for service users who are temporarily sick and needing, for example, minor dressings, bed nursing, help with feeding, etc.
  • To help care for service users

  • Telephone and reception duties
