Staying Covid-19 Secure

Performance Through People have completed an assessment of all our sites and facilities and put in as a minimum the five requirements outlined by the governments COVID -19 secure site.

These are:

  1. We have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment and shared the results with the people who work here.
  2. We have cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedures in line with guidance
  3. We have taken all reasonable steps to help people work from home
  4. We have taken all reasonable steps to maintain a 2m distance in the workplace
  5. Where people cannot be 2m apart, we have done everything practical to manage transmission risk

In addition to these measures.

  1. We have placed interactive information in shared areas to reinforce the message regarding
    1. Hand cleaning
    1. NHS Track and Trace
    1. Gov.uk Wash Hands cover your face and maintain your space.
  2. We check and record all staff and visitor temperatures.
  3. We have an electronic Track and Trace sign in with QR code access
  4. All areas have been reviewed and distancing built in, to all room and spaces on our premises.
  5. All training room and office entrances have clear signage indicating maximum occupancy level
  6. All Staff and Learners are required to wear face coverings when moving around our premises unless exempt.
  7. Signage is reviewed and updated on a regular basis or as guidance changes.
  8. All visitors are required to wear face coverings and sanitise before entering our premises.

What will we do if we have a suspected COVID-19 case?

  1. If anyone has a temperature of 37.8 Deg C or higher they will be asked to leave our premises and return home where they will be advised to isolate for 14 days, or until they have been tested and negative result is confirmed.
  2. If track and Trace contacts our staff member and advises to isolate, the member of staff will leave immediately, and return home where they will be advised to isolate for 10 days, or until they have been tested and negative result is confirmed.
    1. Any staff or learners who have had close contact for more than 15 minutes in the previous 48 hours with a person isolating from covid-19, will be asked isolate for 10 days or until negative test has been confirmed.
    1. Any staff or learners who have had no immediate contact or less than 15 minutes will not be required to isolate.
    1. The area used by member of staff or learner when covid-19 is suspected will be: –
      1. Closed off and area isolated for minimum of 72 hours if shown signs of the symptoms.
      1. Area will be deep cleaned with minimum of 70% alcohol cleaning products.
      1. All cleaning materials will be double bagged and secured for 72 hours before disposal.
  3. In the event of fire – normal fire drill evacuation will be conducted, and social distancing measure can be relaxed.
    1. All participants should assemble at the evacuation point and where possible maintain social distancing.
    1. All participants in a fire drill evacuation should as soon as practical wash or sanitise hands and use face coverings or shields if available.
  4. In the event of First Aid event:
    1. PPE is provided at all first aid points.
    1. In the event that PPE is not available an improvised face covering should be used to minimise the risk of droplets becoming airborne.
    1. CPR should be carried out using chest compressions only in-line with Public Health England guidance.
  5. When we are visiting clients or Learners
    1. Wherever possible meetings and reviews will be conducted via Teams.
    1. Where it is not feasible to conduct a meeting or review over teams we will:
      1. Keep any meetings to minimum time practical.
      1. Our staff will ensure they are maintaining a minimum of 2 metres, wearing face covering or face shield when transitioning through a premise and ensure they have sanitised on entry to a premise, after handling any touch points and on exit from site.
      1. Our staff where equipment is required to be accessed will ensure they are sanitised before and after use and that the user also follows hand hygiene, face covering and distance guidance.
      1. Our staff will not car share when visiting clients or learners.
      1. Our staff will check any specific requirements of a client site and will meet or exceed these requirements when following covid-19 secure.
    1. Our learners will:
      1. Ensure they only attend training or reviews if they are well, have no symptoms associated with covid-19:
        1. Temperature is below 37.8 Deg C.
        1. No loss of taste or smell.
        1. Do not have a continuous cough or have had coughed more than 3 times in last 3 hours.
        1. They have not been advised to self-isolate.
        1. No persons in your household are unwell or isolating with symptoms of Covid – 19.
  6. We will continue to follow Gov.UK guidance and restrictions.
    1. As these are dynamic and changing, we will follow whatever current guidance and adhere to restrictions where they apply to the education sector.
