The Business Improvement Techniques Pathway ensures that business processes are planned and executed as efficiently as possible, identifying and minimising waste whilst ensuring the highest quality. Designed to support continuous improvement by promoting effective team working and developing lean skills across the wider workforce.
This apprenticeships is suitable for anyone responsible for contributing to quality and process improvements in the workplace. Those employed as supervisors, team leaders or facilitators and are responsible for carrying out business improvement activities.

Learners and employers can choose from a variety of optional and mandatory units depending on the pathway they choose to make up the remaining credits for the qualification.
The apprenticeship is delievered through a combination of training, guidance, support, self-study and activities in the workplace. On and off job training either through group sessions or on a one-to-one basis. The NVQ will be assessed using varied methods depending on learning style. Technical knowledge and functionality will be assessed through internal and external testing.
Previous industry experience and a relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification are required.
Apprentices who complete this qualification could progress to more managerial roles or undertake higher level qualifications including foundation degrees.
